Visit The Coral Nursery of Puerto Rico and see live, growing corals up close. Want to learn more about corals without getting wet? How do we grow corals at 25-40x the natural rate? Or maybe, you’re just into marine biology and ocean conservation. We have something for everyone! About the Nursery Our land-based nursery designed & engineered by the Plant a Million Corals Foundation is the only self-sustaining, satellite Coral Restoration Unit (CRU) to date. Our waterfront facility houses 6 restoration tanks, each of which houses up to 4,000 corals at any given time. Location Located in the beautiful oceanfront community of Palmas Del Mar. Make your trip to The Coral Nursery a day trip to Palmas and enjoy the beach and a bite to eat at one of the several restaurants around the community. Frequently Asked Questions What should I bring? In addition to your tickets, we recommend bringing a water bottle and sunscreen, as it can get hot working with the corals. What if I need to reschedule? If you purchased general admission tickets in advance, but need to reschedule your visit, just shoot us a message and we’ll be happy to accommodate. Do I have to touch the corals? To keep you, and our corals safe, we do not permit GA ticket holders to interact with any of our coral recruits or equipment. If you want to participate in coral fragmentation, register for our Coral Workshop!
