The Coral Nursery is Complete!

This month has been one for the books and easily our most exciting yet. Construction of The Coral Nursery is officially complete, marking a huge milestone in our journey! After years of planning, designing, and building, our fully recirculating land-based aquaculture system and marine education center are now finished and ready to come to life.

The Plant A Million Corals team joined us for an intensive two-week installation of the water system, and now our biologists are on-site creating saltwater—a six to eight-week process before our first corals can move in. Once the tanks are filled and stabilized, we’ll begin coral care and launch our education programs, with our grand opening projected for the end of January.

Until then, we’re celebrating this incredible milestone with our year-end fundraiser, Corals for Christmas, on December 11 at Captain’s Shack.
